Sale of CAT bulletin by Banks/ Post offices:
The CAT bulletin containing the CAT application form and other information can be obtained at branches of UTI bank/Post offices, between July 17 and August 17, 2006 for Rs.1100/- (Rs.550/- for SC/ST candidates). Please note that a candidate needs to buy only one CAT bulletin irrespective of how many IIMs he/she is, applying to. Candidates buying the form from UTI bank/Post offices/IIMs must enclose the 3rd copy of Banks / IIMs Pay-in Slip bearing the Candidates name with the CAT Application Form. SC/ST candidates should submit a copy of SC/ST certificate to the Bank / IIM at the time of obtaining the CAT Bulletin.

Candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility criteria of the programme in which they are interested, before procuring the CAT bulletin. CAT application forms of ineligible candidates and application forms with incomplete information will be summarily rejected. No claim of refund will be entertained on
sold Bulletins.

The CAT Bulletin can also be purchased online. The details are provided under the heading Sale of CAT bulletin and filling up of application form on the Internet in this advertisement. The candidates, who would like to buy the bulletin from Bank/ IIMs / Post offices also have the option of completing their application online as detailed under the above mentionedheading.

Sale of cat bulletin and filling up of application form on the Internet:
The CAT bulletin (without application form) can also be obtained by making e-payment through payment gateway of UTI Bank. The bulletin to candidates making e-payments would be send to their address. All such candidates would have to fill the application compulsorily by revisiting the same website five day after making the e-payment. The last date for sale of bulletin through e-payment would be August 21, 2006 and the last date for filling up the form online would be September 4, 2006. After filling up the form at the website, the candidates need to take a print-out, sign the form, affix their photograph and send it with the other relevant documents to the concerned IIM (depending upon their choice of test centre). The last date for receipt of such forms would be September 9, 2006. Please note that in the absence of photograph, signature and other relevant documents, the online application would be considered incomplete and would be rejected.

The applications can also be filled up online by the candidates who have purchased CAT bulletin from UTI Bank branches. After two days of buying the bulletin, they can visit the website www.iimcat2006.com to fill up the application form. The applications can be filled up online only if the details of the candidate match with the information captured by UTI Bank. IIMs do not guarantee that all legitimate candidates would be able to use this facility as the details provided by the candidate may not match with the details provided by the Bank. Such candidates are advised to send their form physically as prescribed in this advertisement. The candidates filling up the form at the website need to take a print-out, sign the form, affix their photograph and send it with the other required documents to the concerned IIM (depending upon their choice of test centre). The last date for receipt of such forms would be September 9, 2006. Please note that in the absence of photograph, signature and other relevant documents, the online application would be considered incomplete and would be rejected

Sale of CAT bulletin by IIMs:
Under exceptional circumstances [such as (a) the stock of bulletins exhaust the nearby branch of the bank, (b) the bank branch is inaccessible to the candidate, © the access to Internet connectivity is not available, arid (d) the bulletin sale through banks close), a copy of the CAT Bulletin can also be obtained directly from anyone of the IIMs till August 21, 2006 by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs.1200 (Rs.600 for SC/ST candidates with a copy of the SC/ST certificate) drawn in favour of the respective IIM. Request for the bulletin should be accompanied by a cloth-lined self-addressed unstamped envelope of size 12x10.
The complete application form for CAT 2006 with supporting documents should be sent so as to reach the concerned IIM on or before September 9, 2006. IIMs would not be held responsible for non-delivery or postal delays in case of CAT bulletins sent by the speed/ registered post / courier and/or non-delivery or postal delays in receipt of completed CAT 2006 application form.
