Advertising Minorities

Previous research has studied minorities’ representation in advertising in mainstream media but has not looked at media popular with minority consumers. This gap is addressed by a content analysis of advertisements in magazines with the highest concentration of readership of the three largest minority groups and of highest selling consumer magazines for the population as a whole.
