What is accredited university
The Accredited University and Accredited United States government does not regulate the quality of educational programs offered at colleges and universities. Instead, the accreditation of a university, college or school tells you that the school has met a minimum standard of quality in its academic programs. But in the last few years accreditation from at least one of these regional outfits (is it North Central?)–which are independent firms–has found its way to formerly-unrepentant trade schools, for-profit institutions, and on-line outfits of varying reputation.
