A Common Entrance Test (Asso-CET-2006) will be conducted by the Association for admissions to Health Science Courses in Private Unaided Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Nursing Colleges (i.e. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPTh, BOTh, BSc-Nursing).
Asso-CET-2006 will be held in the form of multiple – choice questions. The answer sheets are assessed by scanning with the help of computers. The admissions will be on the basis of merit in Asso-CET-2006 conducted by Association.
The brochure for Asso-CET-2006 contains single application form for entrance examination. It also contains Rules for admission and information about Colleges. These Rules are applicable only for the Academic year 2006 – 2007.
Asso-CET-2006 shall be conducted by the Competent Authority appointed by the Association of Managements of Unaided Private Medical and Dental Colleges .
Candidates should go through the contents of this Brochure carefully and for any clarification and genuine doubts / difficulties approach the Competent Authority.
3.2. Asso-CET-2006 will be conducted at the following cities.

(11) Kolhapur, (12) Solapur, (13) Aurangabad, (14) Latur, (15) Beed, (16) Nanded, (17) Akola, (18) Yeotmal, (19) Amravati (20) Nagpur.
v Centres outside Maharashtra State :
(21) Delhi , (22) Noida, (23) Jaipur, (24) Ahmedabad, (25) Surat , (26) Indore , (27) Bhopal , (28) Hyderabad , (29) Kolkatta, (30) Chennai, (31) Cochin .
Please Note: Association reserves the right to add or delete the examination centers.
Due to unforeseen circumstances during the conduct of Asso-CET-2006 at a Centre(s) and in the contingencies like incidence of mass copying, leakage of question paper, entrance of unauthorized persons in the Examination Centres/halls, natural calamities, riots, etc. rendering it impossible for the smooth conduct of Asso-CET-2006 the Competent Authority may cancel the examination at such or all centre(s). It shall be further notified on the website of fresh programme for conduct of Asso-CET-2006 at such centre(s) only.
3.3. Syllabus for the Asso-CET-2006 will be same as of HSC Examination of Maharashtra State Board for the academic year 2005-06 for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Syllabus will be available on the Website of the Association.
3.4. The Asso-CET-2006 will consist of one common question paper in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology) consisting of 200 Multiple Choice Question ( MCQs) 50 in Physics, 50 in Chemistry & 100 in Biology. There is no choice among the questions. The candidate is expected to attempt all the 200 questions. Out of four circles provided for selection of answers against a question, the candidate should fill up one circle only. Each correct answer will be given one mark. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. Scratching, overwriting, tick marks, erasers, whiteners & multiple answers will be considered as wrong answers and no marks will be awarded to them.
3.5. Duration of examination will be of 3 hours. The medium of examination shall be English Only.
3.6. No candidate will be allowed to appear for Asso-CET-2006 unless he /she holds Admit Card issued by the Competent Authority.
3.7. SCHEDULE OF Asso-CET-2006:

4. AVAILIBILITY OF FORMS
4.1. Application forms will be available at the Notified Centers given in Annexure- A on payment of Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) by DD drawn in favour of AMUPMDC payable at Mumbai.
4.1. Filled in application forms should be submitted directly to the office of AMUPMDC, Mumbai either personally or by Post / Courier.
5. ELIGIBILITY
A candidate will be eligible for admission to Health Science Courses i.e. MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, BPTh, BOTh, BSc-Nursing for the academic year 2006–07 on fulfillment of the following conditions:
5.1. The candidate may be an Indian National / NRI / Foreign National. The candidate is required to produce proof in support of his/her Nationality from a District Magistrate, Additional Magistrate or Metropolitan Magistrate. Valid Passport also shall be considered as sufficient proof of Nationality.
5.2. The candidate must be born on or before 01 ST January, 1990 to be eligible to appear for Asso-CET-2006. The Secondary School Certificate (i.e. SSC) or equivalent examination certificate or the certificates of age and nationality endorsing the date of birth will constitute the valid proof.
5.3. The candidate must be medically fit and must submit a certificate of medical fitness.
5.4. A candidate must have passed the qualifying examination i. e. Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or equivalent examination (with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology as subjects). NRI’s and Foreign Nationals shall submit eligibility certificate obtained from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik.
5.5. For MBBS & BDS Courses, a candidate must have obtained not less than 50 % (i.e. 150 out of 300) marks is Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the HSC (or equivalent) Examination.
5.5.1. For B.Sc. Nursing candidate must have obtained not less than 45% (135 out of 300) marks in PCB taken together in HSC/equivalent examination.
5.5.2. For BAMS, BHMS, BPTh, BOTh, rule no. 5.5 is not applicable to these course, passing at Std . XII or HSC or equivalent exam is necessary.
5.6. No rounding off of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks out of 300. For example, if the total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes to 49.66 that will not qualify the candidate.
5.7. The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent in March/April–2006 are also eligible to appear for Asso-CET-2006, provided they must fulfill the eligibility conditions.
5.8. The eligibility conditions may vary in accordance with Judicial Pronouncements and orders issued by appropriate Authorities from time to time.
6. ADMISSON
6.1. Admission TO MBBS & BDS Courses.
A candidate must secure not less than 50 % marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology together at Common Entrance Test i.e. Asso-CET-2006.
6.2. Admission TO B. Sc. Nursing Course.
Candidate must secure not less than 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in Common Entrance Test. i.e. Asso-CET-2006.
6.3. Admission to BAMS/BHMS/BPTH/BOTH and other Courses.
A candidate will be admitted on the basis of merit in Common Entrance Test Asso-CET-2006 to these courses.
