IBSAT (ICFAI Business Studies Aptitude Test) MBA Entrance Exam.
The Application Modalities are with reference to IBSAT 2005, the Common Admission
Test for ICFAI Business School (IBS), ICFAI National College (INC), ICFAI School of Financial Studies (ISFS), ICFAI School of Marketing Studies (ISMS), ICFAI School of Human Resource Development (ISHRD).
IBSAT (ICFAI Business Studies Aptitude Test) : IBSAT is based on GMAT format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Eligibility Criteria
For IBS/ISFS/ISMS/ISHRD : Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) from any discipline, (English medium) with 50% and above aggregate marks.
For INC : Graduation (10+2+3 or 10+2+4) from any discipline, with 40% and above aggregate marks.
For the purpose of determining eligibility based on aggregate percentage of marks, the procedure used by the respective university in award of the degree will only be taken into consideration. All applicants should have completed a minimum of 15 years of formal schooling (on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis) by April 30, 2006. Applicants who have completed their graduation on a one-time sitting basis or on a 2-year basis are not eligible for admission to the management programs of ICFAI.
Although the only specific requirement for admission is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, the admissions committee seeks to admit a mix of applicants who bring unique contributions from their diverse backgrounds and experiences and who collectively enrich the educational experience.
Students in their final year bachelor’s degree course are also eligible to apply, provided they complete their graduation requirements including practical examinations/viva/assignments before April 30, 2006. Such applicants will have to produce a certificate to that effect at the time of admission. For any extension of this deadline, the applicants should apply separately, giving the schedule of their graduation examination. Extension may be granted on the basis of the circumstances of the case. The admission of applicants will, however, remain provisional until they produce marksheets and a degree certificate establishing their eligibility. The last date for submitting the proof of graduation transcripts is October 01, 2006, failing which the provisional admission will automatically stand cancelled.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises of IBSAT and interviews. Applicants are required to write the IBSAT 2005. Alternatively, GMAT scores are also accepted by IBS. The GMAT code number of IBS is 7061. The applicants short-listed on the basis of their performance in the IBSAT 2005 are called for the interviews. The IBSAT scores will be made available to the participating institutions namely ICFAI Business School, ICFAI National College, ICFAI School of Financial Studies, ICFAI School of Marketing Studies and ICFAI School of Human Resource Development. Each participating institution determines its own cut-off scores of IBSAT 2005 and calls the students for interviews. The students shortlisted for interviews will be supplied with a copy of the official prospectus and application material of the respective participating institutions.
Application Processing Fee
Students have to pay Rs.600 towards application processing fee by demand draft and send it along with the filled in OMR Application Form to the Admissions Officer, through speed post or courier, at the following address.

ICFAI accepts only crossed demand drafts of any commercial bank, drawn in favor of “ICFAI A/c IBSAT 2005″ payable at Hyderabad. Other modes of payment like cash/money order/cheque/credit card will not be accepted.
The last date for receiving the completed application is November 30, 2005. Applications received after this date may be considered at the discretion of ICFAI.
Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)®: Applicants with GMAT® scores are not required to apply through the OMR Application Form. Instead they are required to download the Personal Data Form (PDF) from the website www.icfai.org/ibsat (or request PDF from CPAD HQ, Hyderabad), complete the same, attach the GMAT® score report and send it to the Admissions Officer (IBSAT 2005), CPAD HQ, Hyderabad along with a DD for Rs.600 towards application processing fee.
