Indian Institute of Science Education and Research an autonomous institute under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, Invites applications for
Introduction
The Central Government has decided to create two new Institutions devoted to science education and research to be named Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) and located in Kolkata and Pune. IISER is a unique initiative in science education in India.
The Academic programme of USER will commence in August 2006.
Fellowships
Students will be provided with fellowship on merit basis.
Admissions
The academic programme of USER will be started in phases. It is proposed to open admission to five year integrated Master of Science programme in 2006.
Reservations for SC/ST/PH candidates are as per Government of India norms.
The admission process will consist of an interview and counseling.
Eligibility
Candidates for the interview will be drawn from the NT JEE 2006 Merit list.
How to apply
Candidates appearing in NT JEE 2006 and willing to be considered for admission to the integrated Master of Science programme of USER may apply on plain paper along with a photocopy of the admit card of the IIT JEE 2006 to :

The application should reach by April 30, 2006.
Short listed candidates will be called for interview and counseling at the end of June 2006. Details about date and venue of the interview and counseling will also be notified in national newspapers and IISER website.
