National Institute for the Mentally Handicapped, established in 1984 has so far trained 10000 professionals and personnel in 9 different long-term programmes recognized by RCI and affiliated to different Universities.
NIMH invites application for admission to the following courses tor the academic year 2006-07
A) Osmania University Affiliated Courses:
Courses:
1. B.Ed.Spl.Edn(MR) 1 Year duration.
Eligibility: B.A./B.Com/B.Sc/BMR/BRS or any BMR/BRS or any degree recognised by Osmania University.
Mode of Selection: Entrance Exam on 18-06-2006.
No .of seats: Gen – 14, SC – 3, ST- 2, PH - 1
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Early Intervention
Eligibility: MBBS, BMR/BRS(MR)/ B.Ed in Spl.Edn/Masters in Child Development/ Bachelor in Occupational Therapy/Bachelor in Physiotherapy/Bachelor in Speech therapy/Masters in Child psychology.
Mode of Selection: Entrance Exam on 18-06-2006.
No .of seats: Gen – 9, SC – 2, ST- 1, PH - 0
3. M.Ed Spl.Edn(MR)
Eligibility: B.Ed.Spl.Education (MR) or B.Ed. (General) with one year Diploma in Spl.Edn (MR) recognized by RCI or (BRS(MR) with specialization in Special in Education.
Mode of Selection: Entrance Exam on 18-06-2006.
No .of seats: Gen – 6, SC – 2, ST- 1, PH - 1
General Conditions:
1) For Course No.1 - 50% aggregate marks tor General & PH candidates and 40% for SC/ST category.
2) For Course No, 2 - 50% aggregate marks in optional for General and 40% for SC/ST category.
3) For Course No. 3 - 50% aggregate in B.Ed. Special Education (MR) for General & PH category and for SC/ST category pass in B.Ed Special Education (MR) is sufficient.
