University of Hyderabad Integrated Masters Courses 2006-07

In continuation of the Admission Announcement 2006-2007 dated 4th April, 2006 published in most of he leading news papers which appeared in the first week of April, the following is notified for the benefit of prospective applicants for admission o 5 year Integrated Master’s Degree Courses

The courses are aimed at to provide specialized education o the young boys and girls on completion of their +2 level of education from the year 2006-07.

Admissions re made on an all-India basis in order of merit in the entrance examinations for the following subjects.

M.Sc. (5 years -10 semesters) in Mathematical Sciences, Physics, Chemical Sciences and Systems Biology (40 seats)
MA (5 years -10 semesters) in philosophy, Language Sciences, Languages (Telugu/ Hindi/Urdu) (50 seats) and Economics (15 seats).

The entrance examinations for the above courses will be held at 14 centres viz., Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Shubaneswar, Bhopal, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi,Guwahati, Hyderabad, Madurai, Pune, Tirupati, Vijayawada and Vishakapatnam, along with the other courses on 4th June, 2006.

The University reserves he right to cancel any of the examination centres and allot another nearer centre to the applicants in case any centre is canceled.

Eligibility: All the candidates who secure First Class with a minimum of 60% marks at +2 level of education Intermediate/CBSE/ICSE/HSC) are eligible.
Relaxation of percentage of marks in the minimum eligibility condition will be provided to SC/ST/PH candidates.

Selection Procedure: Selection of candidates will be based on written test (which will be in simple objective type at +2 standard) followed by an interview to be held to the successful candidates in the written test from 13th to 16th July 2006 at University Campus.

University Fellowship: Those selected for these programmes will be offered University fellowship of Rs. 500′- p m.

Cost of Prospectus-cum-Application Form :

For General Category Rs.200/- each

For SC/ST/PH Category Rs 50/-each

Last date for receiving requisitions for issue of Prospectus-cum-Application Forms fay post : 06.05.2006

Last date for counter sale of Prospectus cum-Application Forms and submission of filled in Application Forms: 11.05.2006
