Admissions to Under Graduate Courses in Private, Unaided, Medical, Dental & Engineeeing Colleges of Karnataka for the Academic Year 2006-2007 through COMEDK Under Graduate Entrance Test. (COMEDK UGET-2006)
Karnataka Private Medical and Dental Colleges Association and Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association have set up ‘COMEDK’ to conduct a ‘Common Admission Test’ UGET-2006, that would facilitate determination of merit for admissions to Undergraduate courses offered by Medical, Dental and Engineering Colleges run by its members. The merit list will be used to select and admit candidates by centralised single window counselling for admissions to COMEDK member institutions for the academic year 2006-2007.
COMEDK invites applications for COMEDK UGET-2006 from eligible candidates intending to apply to member institutions seeking admission to 1 st Year / Semester M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. / B.E. courses for the academic year 2006-2007.
Institutions Participating:
For the academic year 2006-2007 15 Medical Colleges (1895 Seats), 27 Dental Colleges (1660 Seats) and 74 Engineering Colleges (28,736 Seats) having expressed their intension to mate admissions using the Rank List of COMEDK UGET-2006 by a centralised single window counselling (as available on date)
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants should have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th Std or Equivalent Exam. Candidates who have appeared for the examination and expecting results may also apply.
• For M.B.B.S. and B.D.S.: As per the MCI (Medical Council of India) and DCI (Dental Council of India) norms.
• For B.E: As per the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) norms.
Application Info:
There is no sale of physical printed brochure and application either in colleges or in COMEDK Office.
Candidates are required to apply only through online from the COMEDK website.
Separate brochures and applications have not been printed.
Application Fee:
Non-refundable fee for taking COMEDK UGET-2006 is Rs. 600/- for PCB or PCM and Rs. 800/- for taking all the four subject (PCMB). DD for appropriate amount drawn in favour of COMEDK -2006 payable at Bangalore is compulsory while filling up the online application form, as DD Details information is mandatory. Hand written applications are liable to be rejected.
