Applications in prescribed form are invited for admission to the following courses from the candidates belonging to the States of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa and Union Territories of Daman, Diu and Dadra & Nagar Haveli.

Courses:

1. B.Sc. B.Ed. (Integrated Courses)
Duration : 4Years
Eligibility

a) Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary (+2) or equivalent examination (Integrated having passed in 2006 with at least 45% marks in aggregate (5% Course) relaxation for SC/ST candidates). b) in addition to (a), (i) for seeking admission in Physical Science Group, the candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics, (if) for seeking admission in Biological Science Group, the candidate must have passed in Physics, Chemistry & Biology.

2. Two-Year B.Ed. (Secondary)
Duration: 2 Years
Eligibility:

a) At least 45% marks in B.A./B.Sc. (5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates). b) The candidate possessing B.Sc. degree must have offered at least two of the following subjects at graduation level: Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology & Mathematics. OR
The candidate possessing B.A. degree should have offered at least the
following subjects at graduation level:

(i)any one literature from Hindi, English, Gujarati, Marathi & Urdu and any one from History, Economics, Geography & Political Science.
However, candidates who have passed ‘Gujarati’ language at any stage of graduation, are also eligible to apply.

3. M.Ed. (Elementary Education)
Duration: 1 Year (2 Semesters)

a) At least 50% marks in Post-Graduate degree in Sciences/Humanities/Elementary (2 Semesters) Social Science. Education)
b) in addition to (a).
At least 50% marks both in theory and practical separately in B.Ed. OR 50% marks in the education part of 4-year B.A. B.EdVB.Sc. B.Ed, in addition to (a).

4. P.G. Diploma in Guidance & Counsellings (P.G.D.G.C)
Duration: 1 Year
Eligibility: M.A./M.Sc. in Psychology/Educational Psychology/Education/Social Guidance & Work/Child Development/Human Development or M.A. in any school subject but Psychology as a paper in BA or MA/M.Sc. in any school (P.G.D.Q.C.) subject having B.Ed, or P.G. with M.Ed. (Sec./Elem. Edu.) or M.Com. with B.Ed.

The candidate should have minimum 50% marks at the master’s level with a relaxation of 5% marks in the case of SC/ST/Deputed candidates.
Preference in admission will be given to deputed candidates from National/ Regional/State/District level or other recognized educational organisations situated in the Western Region.

Tuition Fee and Scholarship : A tuition fee of Rs. 3000/- (Rupees Three Thousand only) per annum shall be charged from each admitted student (except SC/ST students) payable in two equal installments’ of Rs. 1500/- each at the time of
admission and in the first week of January of the session. The tuition fee is non-refundable and will be charged ‘each year of the course of the study (the tuition fee excludes hostels fees and other annual charges).

All admitted SC/ST candidates will be given scholarship and 20% of the students admitted in general category will also be given scholarship.

The scholarship will be given as per NCERT Rules.

Reservation : In each course 15% Seats for SC, 7.5% for ST and 3% for Physically Handicapped (with 40% or above disability) candidates are reserved.

How to apply : The application form can be obtained from the Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal-462013 (M.P.) by sending a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope worth Rs. 5/- of the size 23 x 10 cms. with crossed IPO/Demand Draft of Rs. 30/- (Rupees Thirty Only), Rs. 5/- (Rupees Five Only) in case of SC/ST category.

The crossed IPO/Demand Draft should be in favour of Principal, Regional Institute of Education, Bhopal, IPO may be payable at R.C.E. Post Office, Bhopal or the Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India, R.C.E. Branch, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal. The candidates must write, ‘Admission for 2006-2007 & Name of the course applied for’ at the top of the envelope.

The application form can also be obtained personally on production of required IPO/DD from the Academic Section, Regional Institute of Education, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal on any working day (from Monday to Friday). Application complete in all respects, supported by the documents including photocopy of Marksheets of all public examinations passed as required for eligibility purpose including the marksheets of all the three years of graduation should reach the Institute by the due date.

1. Incomplete application forms will be rejected.
2. Candidates will be called for interview strictly according to the^merit and quota available for each State.
3. Applicants in regular employment will have to route their application through proper channel with an undertaking that they would be deputed on full time basis. However, an advance copy of the application form with documents must reach by the due date.
4. The Institute reserves the right to run a particular course or to restrict the subjects combinations/options offered for courses.
5. Applications will be subjected to screening and mere possession of minimum eligibility conditions do not entitle them for admission.
6. The candidate should have passed all Examinations from Recognized Board/University.
7. The candidates will have to fulfill the conditions of domicile as laid down in the application form.
8. No correspondence will be entertained if the Admission Form is received in the Institute after the last date i.e. 26.6.2006 up to 5.30 p.m.
9. Internet Marksheets will not be accepted.
